A proud native Houstonian, I graduated from Alief Hastings High School in 1988. I then earned my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Houston. During college, my first experience in Real Estate was with Benjamin Franklin Federal, in the Real Estate Division which then became the RTC.
I joined First American Title in 1992, where I had the honor of working for 13 years. Starting in the marketing department, I setup large venue realtor training seminars and developed their first desktop publishing department. This absolutely provided me with my first taste of project management. I then transitioned into the role of executive administrative assistant to the Division President for several years, before being promoted to Facilities Manager, and becoming Assistant Vice President. In this role, I had the opportunity to open and relocate branch offices of all sizes in Houston and throughout Texas- hiring and working with general contractors, architects, and designers. This was a vast learning experience that opened my eyes and changed my trajectory.
When First American Title decided to out-source facilities management and with their encouragement I established my company – Construction & Design, Inc. – to meet their needs. I am proud to say that they are still loyal clients to this day. Over the years, Construction & Design has completed various types of projects including building out raw commercial space, commercial remodels, and residential new construction, and full-home remodels. I love the diversity of the projects and making customer’s dreams become a reality!
Through my years working in construction, clients kept asking me to help them buy or sell properties, so it was a natural next-step to obtain my real estate license in 2013. It has been tons of fun and such a pleasure helping clients with both their real estate and construction needs over the years. With a keen eye on hands on customer care, I decided to grow my real estate business with the formation of Sticks and Bricks Realty, a full service, boutique firm. In my free time I love traveling, yoga and exploring new places with great friends.
Realtor, Sales Manager
Born and raised in the Houston area and a graduate of Clear Creek High School. Amanda has singularly focused her professional endeavors within the Real Estate and Property Management arena. After attending Baylor University, Amanda followed her heart for adventure and relocated to Boston, Massachusetts. There, she worked in brokerage management and as a licensed marketing assistant for one of the area’s top real estate agent. She then took her drive for providing exceptional customer service into property management where she was able to help serve our active duty military and DoD civilians. Over the next 5 years Amanda leased and managed homes at Army and Air Force Installations in Massachusetts, Texas, and Virginia.
With family at the center of her world, Amanda chose to relocate back to Houston with her husband and their two dogs in 2015. At which point, she has been joined Coldwell Banker United, Realtors as Director of Client Services for a large, top-producing team. There, Amanda gained a wealth of knowledge, a deeper understanding of her community, and developed proven systems to assist clients with their home sales and purchases. With the formation of Sticks and Bricks Realty, Amanda is excited to share her years of experience in her new role as Director of Sales and Operations; training and developing agents to provide the same top-level of customer service her clients have grown to expect over the years.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys discovering new things about Houston, touring local breweries, learning about non-profits and philanthropies changing our world, and plugging into her community. Amanda is a 2017 graduate of the West Houston Leadership Institute and a life-long Houston sports fan.
